BEAN THERE COFFEE COMPANY
Bean There Coffee Company is the first South African coffee roastery that offers local consumers the possibility to enjoy single origin African high quality Fairtrade coffee. The coffee beans have been produced and traded fairly in Africa, thereby supporting the coffee farmers, their families and communities.

Bean There's Fairtrade range includes:

 Ethiopian Sidamo

Ethiopian Sidamo is a Fairtrade and organic coffee produced by the certified Fero Cooperative in Southern Ethiopia. The cooperative represents 3094 coffee farming families, which include, in total, 27.307 people.
About a quarter of the Ethiopian population is involved in coffee related activities and around 90% of producers are small farmers organisations. The Sidamo region is approximately 340Km from Addis Ababa and here the coffee is harvested from October to January.

 Rwandan Kivu

Rwandan Kivu is produced by the Coopac Cooperative, which is situated on the mountain slopes of western Rwanda at about 5 hours drive west from Kigali. High altitudes and heavy rainfalls on the shores of Lake Kivu allow the soil to produce one of the finest Arabica coffees in the world. The cooperative was established in 2001 with 100 members and now counts 2.200 members from six areas and associations: Ack, Ubuzima, Tuzamurane, Kopabm, Abakundakurima, and Abanyamurava.
In the whole of Rwanda, approximately 430.000 families produce coffee and the typical farm has fewer than 20 trees. The annual harvest takes place between February and June.
