SIPPING FAIRTRADE IN ABUNDANCE AT THE iTOWNSHIP WINE FESTIVAL

From : 04 December 2010 14:00 - Untill : 05 December 2010 06:00
Location : Gugulethu Square
Website : http://www.itownshipwinefest.co.za/

There is no better way to celebrate the end of the first successful year of Fairtrade promotion in South Africa with a truly local event, the iTownship Wine Festival in Gugulethu, where participants will have the opportunity to taste more than 20 Fairtrade wines, thus making it the biggest Fairtrade participation in a South African event!
For the third year in a row, the iTownship Wine Festival opens its door to both wine connoisseurs and wine curious with the aim of celebrating South African wines, encouraging linkages with an emerging wine market and investing in the economic development of the Gugulethu eKasi.

With the core philosophy of translating production and trade into empowerment for farm workers, Fairtrade could not find a better place to encourage consumers to think, and drink, differently. We currently have a total of 13 Fairtrade wine brands that are sold in South Africa and the growing market is contributing to transforming lives all over the country.

Come and visit our Fairtrade wine stands at the iTownship Wine Festival this weekend, on Saturday from 2 until 9pm and Sunday from 2 until 6pm, and look out for Fairtrade wines! Available at the festival will be:
