OVER 200 FAIRTRADE WINES SOLD AT THE GF&WS
18.05.2010 - It was an amazing weekend at the Good Food & Wine Show. The Fairtrade Wines stand, situated in the busy Wine Walk, attracted thousands of local consumers and media, thus successfully marking the first step in the promotion of Fairtrade in South Africa.
Consumers had the possibility to taste and buy a variety of Fairtrade wines as well as to learn how Fairtrade works, what it stands for and especially what are the benefits on the ground. FLSA staff and volunteers assisted the public with information and, of course, wine tastings! It is hence no surprise that we sold over 200 Fairtrade bottles in one weekend!
The wines that participated in this promotion were: Palesa (uniWines), Stellar Organics, Stellenrust, Thandi and Tukulu.
