SIP AND SUPPORT CAMPAIGN

19.11.2010 - Stemming from legitimate values, undeniable passion and sincere intention to promote Fairtrade certified coffee in South Africa, Red Mango and Bean There Coffee Company have announced the SIP AND SUPPORT campaign, an amazing initiative that will offer free unlimited premium Fairtrade coffee to all tertiary education students and matrics in Johannesburg from 17 November until 19 December.

Red Mango Md, Abrahamn Choi, says the main objective of the campaign is primarily to expose young people to Fairtrade coffee directly. "This initiative is designed to be an informal creative tool for embedding Fairtrade coffee principles within the social fabric of the academic community. In order to foster socially responsible individuals, we would like to encourage them the younger generation to be aware of consumption options and understand the value and importance of creating a new coffee culture".

By treating students to free Fairtrade coffee, Red Mango and Bean There Coffee Company aim to harness the power of higher education in universities, colleges and schools to bring about positive change and lasting impact. By driving this new coffee culture movement, the initiative cooperated with the wider Fairtrade movement, thus striving to enable a better life for farming families in Africa through fair prices and community upliftment. "All we ask of the students is that they support fair wages and coffee growing communities by ensuring the coffee they drink is always purchased under fair conditions," explains Jonathan Robinson, Bean There Coffee Company ED.

Fairtrade Label South Africa supports the initiative totally!!
