WINNER OF PICK N PAY IN-STORE PROMOTION ANNOUNCED
28.02.2011 - Congratulations to Tim Davidson, the winner of a Pick 'n Pay voucher valued at R1000 for buying a bottle of Fairtrade wine in the Gardens PnP store in Cape Town! Pick 'n Pay now stocks a variety of Fairtrade wines including Fairhills, Six Hats, Stellar Organics, Sonop, Thandi and Winds of Change. Over the last two Saturdays of February, FLSA ran an in-store promotion and competition in the Constantia and Gardens PnP stores, showcasing all the available Fairtrade wines and educating consumers about Fairtrade.
Over 90 bottles of Fairtrade wine were sold in total and out of the 63 consumers that bought wine 60% had heard of Fairtrade and seen the Fairtrade label before! The response from shoppers was very positive and people were excited to hear that more Fairtrade products, such as sugar, chocolate and tea, will become available in their local shops. As a great success, this promotion will take place again later on in the year.
